Indian Republic Day

On the occacasion of the Indian Republic Day it's a tradition for Honorary Consule Andreas Lapp to invite for celebrations.

India is independent since 1947. The Republic Day celebrates the day that the Constitution of India came into effect on January 26 in 1950. Since this date, the Indian population celebrates this public holiday every January.

During the celebrations in Stuttgart, Andreas Lapp shares his fascination for India with his guests and connects Indian and German representatives.

It is an Indian tradition to start the event with the ignition of an oil lamp to honour the Indian gods. An ensuing Indian show programme and cuisine are leading through the event.
